Are you interested in getting a prop specialty made? Maybe I can help.
I am currently offering commissions for latex boffer props. Used most commonly in L.A.R.P. (Live Action Roleplay) and re-enactment style events, these props allow for a high level or realism while keeping safety in mind. Each boffer is hand-crafted by the artist out of cross-linked ethylene copolymer foam. Details may be added with open cell, EVA and craft foams, and the final product is painted with latex for a realistic appearance. Due to the lightness of the foam and wound epoxy core, the final product is lighter than conventional fiberglass and PVC cored weapons.
Your artisan boffer prop is crafted to your specifications. Though each prop is made against high quality standards, you may choose to have more detail and skill put into the work. This is where grades come in, and I offer three:

Steel Grade boffer props are straightforward: they lack detail without sacrificing quality or craftsmanship. Perfect for a no-nonsense warrior who needs a solid axe, or a bard who needs a beer bottle to indulge in.
Example: A 6′ staff – knotted, gnarled wood without further embellishment.
Gold Grade boffer props are more intensive on detail and craftsmanship, which is factored into the total cost. If you’re looking for unique, personalized foam props that are still within budget, this is the grade to go!
Example: A 6′ staff – knotted, gnarled wood, with a more intricate end, carved foam feathers, and beads.
Emperor Grade boffer props are where the artist goes wild. These props are rich with detail, and are truly unique and beautiful creations. If you want something to really stop people in their tracks, Emperor is definitely the way to go.
Example: A 6′ staff – a slim steel stave with a decorated crystal end, gold filigree patterns in the latex and foam gemstones.

I offer worldwide shipping through Canada Post. Please note that it takes time to craft a prop – especially if detail is involved! – so account for manufacture time as well as shipping times. If you require rush production, please contact me and we will figure it out. Also please note that all boffers need to be maintained for long-lasting, quality equipment. Keep them out of the sun!
If you are interested in procuring a prop boffer from me and would like a quote, feel free to contact me or use the email icon on the right hand menu. In the meanwhile, since you’re already surfing the internet take a look at some of my creations below:

Hello,
I’m looking for someone who would be able to make a usable Larp replica of the vibrosword from Star Wars the knights of the old republic. Do you think you would be able to do that, and if so how much would you charge?
Thanks very much!
Kind regards,
Aaron Axten.
Hi Aaron,
Please send an email to valerie (at) dragonstormstudio (dot) com with the length of the sword that you’re looking for, and if this is intended for a specific LARP chapter or game. Most games have regulations and/or restrictions for boffer construction, knowing what that are can help me get you a more accurate quote.
I look forward to hearing from you!
